On 28 September 2021, the Southern African Journal of HIV Medicine published the guideline ‘Southern African HIV Clinicians Society gender-affirming healthcare guideline for South Africa’* by Tomson et al.1
The above guideline is a condensed version of the ‘Southern African HIV Clinicians Society Gender-Affirming Healthcare Guideline for South Africa – Expanded Version’2
Following post-publication review, certain sections in the guideline have been updated to correct wording that was inaccurately formulated in the published version.
The authors have been notified of this correction.
These corrections do not change the guideline’s recommendations in any way.
